Graham Jones

I am Graham and I am the Circuit Pioneer Missioner. Since 2014, I have served and will continue to serve as Pastor of Harrowgate Hill Christian Fellowship (The Apostolic Church). I am married to Kath Jones who is the Village Seeds Project Worker, part of Darlington Area Churches Youth Ministry. We have three children, Michael, Mark, and Ben and we have lived all our lives in Darlington, a town we love and in which we long to see and be a part of a move of God here.

Following redundancy after 15 years as a Finance Team Manager for Orange/EE, I trained at St. John's College, Durham University gaining a degree in Theology and Ministry. It was here studying under Rev Dr Michael Volland and Rev Dr David Goodhew that I was inspired with a passion for Mission, Pioneer Ministry and Fresh Expressions of Church.

Even though Kath has attended church all her life, I did not come to faith until I was 38 years old. I started attending Harrowgate Hill Methodist Church until God called us away in 2006 but has since in His wonderful mysterious way brought us full circle. Since coming to faith, the journey the Lord has taken me on has at times been painful, frustrating and at other times wonderfully exhilarating and inspiring.

Playing the guitar has been a part of my life since my early teens and I have played in many local bands. I am still currently involved in the music scene in two bands, one is signed to a major independent label in London and the other has been playing gigs locally for the last 18 months. This not only provides a source of relaxation but also presents wonderful opportunities for mission and evangelistic conversations as I am invariably introduced as the Reverend by my band mates.

I ask for your continuing prayer support for this exciting opportunity in Pioneer Mission. As with anything with our God, He is the One who goes before us and we have the awesome responsibility to discern what it is He is or is going to do. Ultimately, it's His plans and purposes that must come to the fore and I pray we will have the privilege to humbly serve Him and discover His Kingdom working, here in Darlington.
