All services usually held on church premises are currently suspended due to COVID-19.
The Pierremont Church is now closed.
The church family at Pierremont were very excited to gain funding for some very necessary and long overdue refurbishment of our building. However it soon became very clear to us, as problems arose and things began to change, that God was asking us to do something different. We were growing and often needed more space than our building afforded us and here we were with our plans for change, some of which would take some space away when we clearly needed more.
We were very conscious that God was speaking to us about being 'called' which was a theme we'd been exploring with our Family groups. We were hearing about moving, trusting, and when Jesus called some fishermen, he told them to cast their nets in another direction. We needed to pause and pray and wait on God.
We felt very strongly that we were being asked to take a huge step of faith and leave our building and replant a new church in a building, about a mile further north, where the congregation had ceased to meet three years earlier.
Already we had a foot in the building as we had pinched a bit of their carpark to extend our Giving Garden project and we'd got a little coffee shop and charity shop there too.
On the last Sunday in September we had our final service (harvest festival) in our lovely old building and on the first Sunday in October we began our new Church, now called The Well in our new building.
