We are a busy worship centre as part of the Darlington Methodist Circuit in Lowson Street, Darlington. We have extensive ancillary premises hosting a multitude of church based, community and social groups throughout the week. Lowson Street is just off North Road between the White Horse Hotel and Thompson Street junction near the pedestrian crossing and McColl's convenience store. There's a regular bus service from the town centre and adequate street parking nearby.
There are many groups meeting here during the week. We have a lively ladies group that meets alternatively with a Craft Group on Thursday evenings, a Banner making group and lots of social events for all ages, abilities and religious beliefs or none. Recently a monthly Active Life gentle exercise class has been introduced on the first Saturday of each month following on from the coffee morning, 11.30 to 12.30pm. Watch out for extra fund raising events such as concerts and seasonal fayres.
Coffee mornings take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10.00 to 11.30am.
We host young peoples' uniformed organisations on Friday evenings — Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts on Tuesday evenings. Northland Brigade groups join us for quarterly parade services.
There is a busy Pre-school that runs Monday to Friday; a dancing class on two evenings a week, a GA group and weekly Northern Voices rehearsals. We also hire out our ancillary premises for parties and special occasions.
We are part of the Churches Together in Northern Darlington group that arrange ecumenical worship, Lent Bible studies with lunches, fellowship meals and outings with friends from St Thomas Aquinas RC church and St Mark's Anglican church.
Our premises are fully accessible throughout the building and a warm welcome awaits all those that join us for Sunday worship or at any of the other activities that you may find interesting
