This poignant Exhibition will honour the men and women from Haughton, who have fought in all conflicts throughout the years.

As you approach the Chapel you will see the cascade of Centenary poppies made by the Haughton Poppy Girls in 2018. This year, also included, are recently knitted purple poppies to commemorate the animals who served during wartime.

Once inside you will be able to take a glimpse into the life of these incredible and women; their stories will include, photographs, memorabilia and artefacts. You will be able to take a walk back in time by viewing old postcards and photographs of the Haughton-le-Skerne 'those remembered' would have known. Also on display will be numerous items that were made from hundreds of centenary poppies including 14 stunning throws/blankets.

The throws are to be donated to the Chelsea Pensioners; veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. One is to be donated to the Green Howard's Museum at Richmond.

The Exhibition will be held at The Methodist Chapel, Haughton Green on the following dates and times:

Friday 8th November from 10-2pm
