Methodist Women in Britain (MWiB) came into being in 2011, next year we will be celebrating our 10th birthday. With this in mind we have been reviewing our first decade and are planning for the future. Our aims continue to be the principles established in 2011, which are still just as relevant.

  • To bring women together to know Christ and to share that knowledge.
  • To encourage and equip women through resourcing and training enabling them to participate more fully in their societies and more widely.
  • To connect women across the world and support one another in raising awareness and acting for social justice around the world.

These fundamental principles are encompassed in our new six-word mission statement:

For Women, For Justice, For Christ

During the current pandemic we have not been able to meet or share many of the activities we had planned in the Darlington District including our annual MWiB Autumn Day so the coordinating team have produced a Rainbow Service which we hope you will find encouraging, uplifting and comforting.

More information and how to contact us can be found on the Darlington Methodist District web site.
